Gerek kalemiyle, gerekse firçasiyla Osmanli dünyasini bu kadar incelikle ve zenginlikle anlatan sanatçi, o sirada hareketli günlerini yasayan Ermeni olaylarinda Osmanli’nin yaninda yer alarak tüm siddetli tepkilere ragmen dogruluguna inandiklarini dile getirmekten hiç vazgeçmemistir. Arsiv belgeleri ve solmus gazete sayfalari arasindan çekip çikarilan bu çalisma, Francis Hopkinson Smith’in yasamini ve eserlerini bir araya getirmekte, daha da önemlisi ihmal edilmis gerçek bir dostu tanitmayi amaçlamaktadir.
